Thanks so much for taking the time to investigate my Private Dog Training.

I hope that as you investigate my website you will learn some things that set me apart from most other trainers.

I enjoy working with people as much as I enjoy working with dogs and I have excellent communication skills

I have a 30 year history of teaching people, and a 14 year history of teaching people and their dogs

I love helping people deal with and fix the dog behavior issue that cause them and perhaps their dog distress

I have the knowledge to teach dog owners to teach their dogs basic and advance skills

I continually see that for many dog owners, setting appropriate boundaries and learning to behave as a leader in a way that the dog easily understands, goes a very long way in amending many behavior issues

I believe that there is a very distinct difference between leadership and dominance and I DO NOT teach people to dominate their dogs

Learning to gain the attention of your dog WITHOUT begging for it is another key concept

I teach the use of Positive Reinforcement in teaching and training dogs

My website clearly states many of the techniques that I do and don’t use in training.

I work with my clients to develop a dog training and dog management plan that they can implement rather than proposing techniques they can not follow through with due to time, money, or philosophy.

In the greater Portland and Clark County area, I offer private training services at your home or place of business. In addition, as you and your dog progress, and depending on your goals, we work to help you generalize your dogs skills into your local community.
